If you’re not familiar with the 12 Angry Mascots, then you haven’t been following my work very long, or you’re just not paying enough attention. I’m not one for hyperbole, but they are supreme masters of the sports-comedy domain. Recently, the folks at 12AM submitted their latest “NFL Writer’s Room” creation to Atom.com, and it’s brilliant and hilarious.

If you’re not familiar with the “NFL Writer’s Room” premise, I encourage you to remedy that. The series is more than a year old now, with episodes on ESPN.com and Atom.com. This is the NFL — if it were scripted by television writers. Every hot-button issue is parodied with sarcasm and cynical wit. This one is special because they have guests.

The Seahawks’ Raheem Brock is an intern, and Jets safety Eric Smith is intent on delivering a message from the Gang Green Faithful after last week’s disappointing loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship Game.
