Nike Dunk High Premium SB – “Knicks/Mets”
I wanted to go for a little something different when I grabbed this pair of dunks. To be honest, I had a little bit of a complex. Could I be a legitimate sneakerhead without owning at least one pair of SB Dunks? The answer, of course, is yes. You don’t even need to own a bunch of sneakers to be a sneakerhead. If you respect the culture, admire the shoes, and do the knowledge, then you qualify.
Nonetheless, I grabbed these because I really like orange and blue together, and I wanted to take a step away from all the Jordan and Foamposite sneakers for a moment. I’ve been told SB Dunks were comfortable, so I wanted to give them a shot. These shoes didn’t let me down.
What does bug me about the shoes, however, is how much dust they attract. The premium materials cling to fabric and accumulate little fibers. I could have brushed it all off with a suede/nubuck brush (sold at the sneaker franchise stores) before taking pictures, but I didn’t. I wanted anyone viewing these pictures to see them after one wear.
Still, I’m happy to have them. For me, it’s about having a combo breaker in the collection. Stacked boxes filled with leather and foamposite shoes are great, but some days we need a different kind of comfort. Just check your weather forecasts before you get dressed in the morning.
